Art Studios
Artists need time and space for their work. John Steinbeck liked to write in a private room in his house and shouted at his wife for not keeping the children quiet while he worked. Hemingway considered the sidewalk cafes of Paris his own little art studios where he discovered his true vocation.
Artist studios are essential to the development of an artist.
An art studio is an artist’s workroom. Back then the artists who worked in art studios were limited to fine art artists.
Today art studios may be used for the purpose of making music, television broadcasting, radio broadcasting, animation, cinematography, graphic design, photography, sculpture, pottery, architecture, and the usual fine arts. Simply put, art studios have evolved alongside the artists that worked with them.
The word studio came from the Latin word stadium, meaning to study or zeal.
On the other hand the French term for studio is “artelier”. It is used to refer to an artist’s studio as well as to characterize the workroom of a fashion designer. The word “artelier” also carried the connotation of being the home of a wizard or alchemist.
Are you an aspiring artist who’s looking for a quiet place to concentrate on your work? Solve your problem by renting an art studio.
